Value-based pricing: what does it mean?
Setting the price by what the result is worth to the client, not only by the hours spent. Your own hourly rate is the floor.
How to get started
- Ask the client what the solution is worth to them: how much income it brings, or how much time and money it saves in a year.
- Make your price a small share of that (for example a tenth), so it clearly pays off for the client.
- Work out your hourly minimum too and do not go below it. The price calculator shows both.
Where you build it in Modulyo
