Target audience: what does it mean?
The people your service is for. The more precisely you describe them, the easier they are to reach.
How to get started
- Start from the people you have already helped, even for free: what do they have in common?
- Describe the situation they are in when they need you (life stage, work, one specific problem), not just their age and gender.
- Check where you can find them (groups, sites, events). If you cannot name such a place, narrow it down.
Where you build it in Modulyo
Step 2 of Modulyo’s guided steps (“Value Proposition”) walks you through it question by question and gives you a result made for your own business.
Related terms
- Value proposition: One or two sentences on who you help, with which problem, and what makes your way different. All your copy builds on it.
- Persona (ideal client): An invented but realistic member of your audience, with a name, a situation, goals and sticking points. You write to them.
- Positioning: How clients see you compared with their other options: why they should choose you.
Don't just read about it, build your own
After four short questions, Modulyo gives you three business ideas that are about you, no account needed.
